You'll note the 300 is an exceptional guitar when you first pick it up. And it plays like a dream. Not a guitar for the feight of heart. The harder it is played, the more lush it sounds. By comparison, Ibanez' inferior models usually sold at the large outlet stores feel cheesy. Ibanez created this guitar with the intent of making the best jazz guitar reasonably possible. It is in a class by itself. It cannot be compared to a L5. It sounds and feels too differently. Nevertheless, the 300 holds it own ground. It is definitely a $5k quality guitar.
