J Custom is back to the US edition of Ibanez catalog and it`s back big time. This series has a task of representing the finest guitars made by top luthiers from Japan. Currently, this series is testing grounds with one model, the JCRG20126, an exclusive guitar based upon the famous RG series. Body of this model takes the familiar soloist-shaped double cutaway contour. It`s made of alder base and flamed maple top. Color palette of this model is restricted to the Brown Garnet Shadow and Scarlet Ruby, both are finished in high gloss. Pickguard is not included onto the specs list, due to the sheer beauty of the flamed maple top. Bridge section sports a highly acclaimed Edge Zero bridge with locking nut on the other side of the 25-1/2" scale. This bridge represents an upgrade and huge advance in comparison to Edge III, the standard double locking trem system Ibanez installs on regular models. Pickups are provided by Seymour Duncan. Bridge position is equipped with Custom 5 and neck has Jazz humbucker. Master volume and master tone are accompanied by a five-position blade switch. Positions 1, 3 and 5 are regular bridge, bridge-neck and neck selections, while 2 and four give access to each pickup in parallel connection. Neck is made of five pieces of maple and walnut with Super Wizard contour and bolted joint. Fingerboard is made of bound rosewood. 24 jumbo frets are covered with a continuous Tree Of Life inlay. String nut measures 1.69" in width and radius is 16.90".
