AZ242F Premium is one of three models of the initial lineup of the brand new Ibanez AZ Premium series (which is being introduced as part of the bigger AZ range at 2018 NAMM). It offers a solid, double-cut body (very similar in design and size to modern Stratocaster models) made of basswood base and flame maple top (two-piece top, Tequila Sunrise Gradation color scheme). Recessed bolt-on joint and sculpted heel allow maximum access to the fingerboard. The neck`s made of roasted maple and rocks the curvy AZ profile (designed especially for AZ range models). The fingerboard`s also made of roasted maple and sports a set of 24 jumbo frets (HH models have 24 frets, while HSS models have 22). Other notable features include a string-through tremolo bridge made by Gotoh, Gotoh locking tuners, and custom Dyna Mix 10 switching system.
