The new AZ range is Ibanez`s take on the modern/classic Stratocaster style. Its main focus is on the players who are considering an American range Strat; especially true for the trio of Prestige class models (AZ2204, AZ2204F, and AZ2402). Premium models retain the pizzazz and tone of their exclusive series-mates but come in with significantly lower price tags. AZ242BC Premium starts off with a solid, double-cut body (American basswood back, bocote top, flat top, bolt-on neck joint, contoured heel), a roasted maple neck (oval AZ profile, recessed four-bolt joint), a roasted maple fingerboard (w/24 jumbo frets, black dot inlays, 1.65" nut, 25.5" scale, 12" radius), a synchronized tremolo bridge (string-thru construction, made by Gotoh), Seymour Duncan Hyperion humbuckers, and Gotoh Magnum tuners.
