Artist is one of the first series established in Ibanez catalog and it still remains one of the strongest. It`s design is heavily influenced by Gibson`s legendary Les Paul model, but series diversified and grew over the time to carve it`s own image and path. Today, Artiest series has several sub-series, of which AR is one. AR models are solid bodied and double cut and brand new AR325 is no exception. It`s double cut body is made of mahogany back with flamed bubinga top. Top panel is bound in creme binding and carved. Dark Brown Sunburst and Transparent Red are color options assigned to this model and doth come finished in satin. Bridge section is a two-piece and it consists of ART 1 bridge in the front and stoptail bar with trapezoid decoration in the back. Pickups installed on this model are Super Custom 58 active humbuckers in both the bridge and neck positions. Split volume and tone knobs are accompanied by two mini-switches with three positions each. These switches split the coils of humbuckers. Pickups are selected through a three-way toggle switch. Neck is made of three pieces of maple and it is set-in. AR contoured neck is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. Medium frets, 12" radius, pearl/abalone split block inlays and 1-11/16" wide string nut are featured on the fingerboard. Scale measures 24-3/4" in length and hardware is plated in gold.
