AM is a part of the big Artcore range, introduced back in 2002. It was envisioned as an alternative to Epiphone and entry-level Gibson semis and hollow-bodies. Over the years, Artcore`s own six-strings have gained legions of fans among both the amateurs and professionals from virtually all walks of music.
AM53 is a 2015 model, a sleek and slim semi-hollow six-string with simple construction and modest, but elegant styling. Entire body of this super affordable semi is made of laminated sapele. Three color options are available - Sunburst Red Flat, Transparent Black Flat and Tobacco Flat. All have satin finish, chrome hardware and white binding.
Mahogany neck comes with the standard Artcore profile and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. 1.69" wide at the nut and marked with simple dot inlays, this fingerboard was tested and proven on countless Ibanez six-strings throughout the years. Along with the Artcore profile, which was created as a compromise between the almost flat speed necks and rounded profiles on the vintage jazz boxes, this standard rosewood fingerboard guarantees a great playing experience.
Ibanez`s own Infinity R series humbuckers provide a warm, powerful tone with smooth delivery and ample sustain. Two-piece ART bridge and die-cast tuners complete this affordable beauty. AM53 costs around $300.
