Contemporary Archtop series is the latest offspring of the Hollow Body range. It was introduced at this year`s NAMM, with a three-piece initial lineup. The top model among the three was beautiful AFC155, a blue-clad archtop with modern playability & tone and vintage/modern looks.
AFC155 has a fully hollow single-cut body, with arched soundboard (with two "f" holes) and a black pickguard on top of it. Back and sides are made of flamed maple, while the top is spruce. Three-piece mahogany neck is glued to the body at the 16th fret and sports modern AFC profile. Modern 20-fret ebony fingerboard sits on its top.
Major hardware and electronics features include an ebony bridge (with VT14 tailpiece), Magic Touch minibucker pickups and black/gold-plated tuners.
