AF series in Ibanez catalog is dedicated to the purebred hollow bodied guitars. These models come as some of the finest jazz guitars in their respective price ranges. Ibanez offers the finest materials and features for these models and tops it off with top notch pickups. AF105 is a fully hollow bodied guitar with a classic single cutaway shape. The body is made of flamed maple back, sides and top. The top is bound in creme binding and equipped with an elevated pickguard. Also, featured on this carved top are two bound "f" holes. AF105 comes with glossy finished vintage sunburst color as it`s only option. Bridge on this model is made of rosewood base and tune-o-matic top. It is combined with a trapezoid tailpiece. Ibanez dubs this sort of bridge ART1 and it is reserved for hollow bodied guitars. In the pickup area a pair of active humbuckers is installed. They are controlled through a classic setup of split volume and tone controls with the addition of a three-way toggle pickup switch. Neck on this model is made of five pieces of maple and walnut. This neck is set and topped with a bound rosewood fingerboard. It features 22 medium sized frets, split abalone block inlays, 12" radius and 1.69" wide string nut. Other features include: 24-3/4" scale, gloss finish and gold-plated hardware.
