Hofner`s Verythin CT model is a very faithful replica of Gibson`s cult ES-335 model. Hofner pays great attention to details on this outstanding six-stringed semi. It comes with almost identical physical appearance, as well as the tone. Body of this remarkable axe is semi-hollow, double-cut and made of maple back and sides with spruce sound board on top. Spruce top is arched and decorated with two "f" holes, as well as white binding. Black pickguard is also featured on the top. Tune-o-matic bridge and the stoptail bar comprise the bridge section of this model. In their front, Hofner installs a pair of active humbuckers with vintage-styled tone. Neck is set in and made of maple. 22-fret fingerboard on it`s top is made of rosewood.

Everything on the Guitar : 10/10 Excellent quality. No flaws. For the price it would put any other guitar to shame. I have a 1967 Hofner 'Galaxie' and am still using it. While in the music shop I sighted the 'Verythin'. It was love at first sight. But beauty here, is not skin deep ! Every aspect of the guitar is excellently made. The guitar behaves as if it were made for you ! My Galaxie has been fully functional, without a single fault, for over 42 years. Coming for Hofner, how could the 'Verythin' be different ?

It's not a replica of the Gibson ES 335. It's a reissue of the Hofner verythin from the 60s'. Compared to the Gibson we can say: Larger and thinner body, more mid tones oriented, cheaper, made in China, mine is not flawless. There is a lack of paint on the side of one of the f holes. I can see it when I play but nobody else can notice. I have the transparent black with Bigsby vibrato. A part from this minor flaw this guitar is one of favorites. I prefer the neck of this hofner over the Gibson or Epiphone 335. It's faster. The sound is solid and wide. This Hofner is now my main stage guitar, I keep my custom made Lag Roxanne and US telecaster as back up guitars.
