Pro variant of the Newport six-stringer comes with Seth Lover humbuckers, instead of Phat Cat single-coils. Both the Phat Cat and Seth Lover pickups are made by Seymour Duncan and are active. These give the distinctive tone to Hamer`s Newport models. Newport Pro sports the series standard construction features. It`s body is semi-hollow and double-cut. mahogany is used for the back and spruce for the arched top. Add the elegant binding around the top, two "f" holes and luxurious lacquer gloss finish and this Newport six-stringer is ready to take on the world. Two-piece hardtail bridge section is fronted with aforementioned Seth Lover humbuckers which feature the series standard controls unit. Mahogany neck is topped with a series standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
