XL-5 is a model from Hagstrom`s XL series which deals with double cutaway models made in vein of '80s super popular soloist models. Speed, technicality and shred are coming back, big time and Hagstrom is riding strong on these waves with this XL series. XL-5 is currently the flagship and it comes with a basswood body paired with set-in maple neck. Flamed male veneer is applied on the top. Tremolo bridge is plated in chrome and it features string-through construction. Hagstrom`s own passive pickups are installed in H/S/H configuration. They are equipped with master volume, two tone knobs, 2-position mini switch and five-position blade pickup switch. Neck is made of maple and it`s topped with a 24-fret resinator fingerboard.
