Metropolis series was introduced on this year`s NAMM show in Anaheim, Ca. It brings a mix of single-cut bodies with bolt-on necks. It is a fairly new concept to Hagstrom, and the industry, as well, for there are not many Les Paul-like series and models with lightweight bodies and bolted necks. Metropolis S is one of two models of the series and it brings a flat, solid, single cut body with vintage decorations. Most notable is the large, vintage-styled pickguard. On top of the body Hagstrom installs the standard bridge section, which consists of a tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail bar. Both the bridge combo and Hagstrom tuners installed on the headstock are plated in chrome. Pickups on this model are made by Hagstrom, too. They come in S/S configuration and have P-90-like housings. Master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle pickup switch comprise the controls unit. Hard maple neck is bolted to the body and it`s topped with a standard 22-fret resinator fingerboard. Dot inlays, 15" radius and 1.69" TUSQ nut.
