Metropolis is a brand new concept from Hagstrom, which blends lightweight solid bodies and bolted necks. Add versatile and strong Hagstrom pickups and it`s one of the best recent recipes for a cool and distinctive tone. Metropolis C is one of current two models of the Metropolis range, which made it`s debut at the NAMM 2013 in Anaheim, Ca. Solid single-cut body is made with flat top and contoured back. It is lightweight and topped with a plastic pickguard. Hagstrom does not install binding on this model. Bridge section is a classic one for the models with Les Paul-like single cutaway design, it combines the tune-o-matic bridge in the front with the stoptail bar in the back. Both pieces are plated in chrome, as is the rest of the hardware. Pickups are Hagstrom`s '58 C humbuckers in both the bridge and neck positions. Neck on this model is made of hard maple, it`s bolted to the body and topped with a Hagstrom standard 22-fret resinator fingerboard. Dot inlays, 15" radius and 1.69" wide TUSQ nut complete the fingerboard.
