G5420T is abrand new model introduced for the summer of 2012 and will be featured on Gretsch booth on Summer NAMM 2012. It comes with a classic single cutaway body with set-in neck joint construction. Also, construction-wise, this model is fully hollow, as are all models from the Electromatic series. This model is available in four color options: Black, Orange, Sunburst and Aspen Green. They are all finished in beautiful gloss urethane finish. This finish is matched with chrome plated hardware. Set of tuning machines installed on this model is vintage styled and features open back. Body of this Electromatic is made of five layers of maple and it features white binding around back and top. Top panel is also carved with "f" holes and equipped with an elevated pickguard. Bridge section is made up of adjust-o-matic bridge with rosewood base in the front, while the trapezoid tailpiece with Bigsby sits in the back. Pickups on this model are traditional Electromatic series installments, they are Filtertron humbuckers. Master volume, master tone, bridge volume and neck volume knobs comprise the controls unit. Pickup switch is a three-way toggle. Neck is made of maple and it is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. 22 medium jumbo frets, humpblock inlays and 1-11/16" wide string nut complete the fingerboard.
