Godin Guitars represent Canada`s finest in the world of guitars, and they are heavily updating for 2012. All of the novelties were unveiled at the NAMM Show this year. One of the most important additions to the catalog is Session Plus, a guitar made after already existing Session model, but with upgraded electronics. Session Plus kicks off as a solid, double cutaway model made of basswood body and rock maple neck. This flat-top features no binding around the top. The pickguard is there, it`s plastic and comes in black or white, depending on the color option. Blackburst SG, black HG, cream HG, rustic burst SG, vintage burst SG, lightburst HG are colors offered for this model, and they all come with gloss finish. The bridge is Godin`s own True lock tremolo with chrome plating, and string-through-body construction. Pickups on Session Plus are configured in H/S/S layout. They are all Godin`s own and the humbucker is taken from the upscale models. Master volume and master tone are accompanied by a mini swich with three positions. It splits the bridge humbucker. There is also an HDR high Definition Revoicer button. The neck on this model is made of rock maple and attached to the body with a bolt-on joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and features 22 frets, dot position inlays, 12" radius and 1-11/16" wide string nut. 25-1/2" scale and chrome plated hardware complete the specs. The MSRP for Session Plus is set at $895.
