Gibson`s standard for Les Paul, SG, Explorer and other electric guitars from the catalog is a pair of humbuckers. Usually, these are active, or in case of budget models, replaced by fat P-90 single coils. This time around, Gibson turns the situation and adds an extra humbucker into the SG Special Faded 3 Pickup specs list. 490R humbucker is installed in both the neck and middle positions, while the 498T is featured in the bridge position. Other than that, this is a regular SG with worn color schemes. Worn White is the only option in the palette. Solid, double-cut body is made completely of mahogany. It is paired with a set in neck made of mahogany. Rosewood fingerboard on this model has 22 jumbo frets and dot inlays.
