SG Special is one of the main models of the Gibson USA`s SG series. It comes with one of the most standard specs lists. Starting with a solid, double-ct body made of mahogany, this SG offers the most authentic SG experience available. Body has beveled edges, contoured back and set in neck joint. Black and Heritage cherry are featured as the only options in the color palette. Both of them are finished in high gloss. Bridge section on this SG is a standard one, it includes a tune-o-matic bridge in pair with a stoptail bar. Open-coil humbuckers installed in the front are active and accompanied by a standard electronics unit. Set in neck is made of mahogany and it`s topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

Great guitar, all i can say. If you find yourself trying to decide between the special and the standard, id go with the special, unless you just have extra money that you want to spend on a visually nicer guitar.. which is important to some people, but performance wise, the special is the better way to go for its price..in my opinion.
