Gibson USA`s 2018 catalog sports a huge variety of electric guitars and basses, covering almost all basses and all prominent music styles. Among the core (permanent) models, USA lineup also sports a range of limited edition (Anniversary and Elite) models. RD Artist 40th Anniversary belongs to the former sub-type, being (together with a four-stringed RD Artist) the only active anniversary model. It is available in Vintage Sunburst (w/gloss finish, gold-plated hardware, black plastics). The MSRP is set at $1,999 (which is not so steep, considering it`s a Gibson USA model). Other notable features include an all-mahogany body (flat top, RD contour, vintage pickguard), a mahogany neck (set-in, rounded), a 22-fret granadillo fingerboard, a two-piece hardtail bridge, Gibson`s GEM humbuckers, and locking Grover Keystone tuners.
