Among the twenty eight models introduced at Gibson Memphis stand at this year`s NAMM, several of them were ES Les Paul models. It is not a new concept, but it`s gaining popularity through the recent developments in Gibson Memphis. Basically, the ES-Les Paul brings Les Paul design and ES semi hollow construction together, resulting in instruments of both great musical and sculptural value. Limited Run ES-Les Paul White Top is one of 2015 Electric Spanish LPs introduced at NAMM. It comes with a semi-hollow single-cut body made of maple and poplar (back, sides and top are made of the three-ply laminated maple/poplar/maple panels). Top is clad in Classic White (thus the name of the model), while the rest of the body (as well as the back of the neck) is painted in dark brown, revealing the maple grain. Active MHS humbuckers are installed in front of the classic two-piece bridge (AVR-2 bridge and a stoptail bar behind it), and are equipped with a standard LP set of controls. Controls include separate volume and tone knobs, and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Mahogany neck is, of course, a one-piece with a vintage truss rod, rounded C profile and mortise & tenon joint. On its top, Gibson installs a standard 22-fret rosewood fingerboard. Vintage Kluson tuners wrap the specs list.
