Limited Run ES-Les Paul Bigsby (2015) by Gibson
Light Burst

This year`s lineup is made up of 28 models, and 14 of them are limited runs. Among them, the ES-Les Paul Bigsby is one of the most beautiful and most desirable. With an eye-popping combination of classic Les Paul design and ES construction, this little six-stringer is bound to break many a hearts when its limited run ends. Even with a hefty price tag ($3,499), ES-Les Paul Bigsby is bound to sell out quickly. Now, let`s take a closer look at what this sweet little rocker offers. First of all, there`s a semi-hollow body with arched back and top, and ES-LP center block. Attached to it through a mortise & tenon joint, a one-piece mahogany neck is featured. Entire body, on the other hand, is made of maple and poplar (maple/poplar/maple three-ply laminates are used), while the top boasts two pieces of matched flamed maple. AVR-2 bridge and Bigsby B-7 tailpiece form the bridge unit of this exclusive semi-hollow LP. Active MHS humbuckers are installed in the front, featuring the classic Gibson controls (two volume knobs, two tone knobs and a three-way toggle pickup switch). Said one-piece mahogany neck is fit with a historic truss rod which dates back to the 1960s. It is considerably thicker and sturdier than the ones used in recent years. On the top, it features a 22-fret fingerboard made oa single piece of rosewood. Bone nut (1.70" wide), trapezoid inlays, creme binding on the rolled edges and low profile frets complete the fingerboard. Vintage Kluson tuners are found on the headstock.
