Limited Run 1959 ES-175D Figured VOS (2015) by Gibson
Vintage Burst

What we have here, before us, is the second most expensive model in Gibson Memphis` 2015 lineup, the mesmerizing Limited run 1959 ES-175D Figured VOS. Also, this is one of fourteen Limited Run models Gibson Memphis has introduced for this model year (among the limiteds, it is the most expensive model). 1959 ES-175D Figured VOS comes with historically accurate design and construction, as well as the tone. Maple/poplar/maple laminates are being used for the body (back, sides and top are made of it), while the neck is made of a single piece of mahogany. Soundboard, white obviously, utilizes figured instead of plain maple. Simple, yet breath-taking Vintage Sunburst color scheme, with nickel-plated hardware and creme binding around the body and neck, is the only color option available for this super expensive six-stringer (price tag is set at $5,399). 50s-styled two-piece bridge is fronted by a pair of MHS humbuckers with a classic controls unit (vol/vol/tone/tone/3-way toggle switch). These pickups provide the classic 1950s PAF tone with dead-on accuracy. Mahogany neck is connected to the body via the classic mortise & tenon joint and fit with the historic truss rod (it replaces the modern one on 2015 models). Rosewood fingerboard is fit with a set of 20 frets, split parallelogram inlays and a 1.70" wide nylon nut. Vintage Kluson tuners complete the 1959 theme of the Limited Run 1959 ES-175D Figured VOS.
