Along with the Tribute and Classic models, Les Paul Traditional forms the vintage-oriented part of the lineup. For 2018, there will only be one Traditional model, as the HP variant has been scrapped. The new Trad costs $2,699, which is half-way between the Classic and Standard. Les Paul Traditional 2018 starts off with a classic single-cut body (w/carved top), 24-3/4" scale, glued-in neck, PAF-reminiscent pickups w/classic controls unit, and vintage styling. Heritage Cherry Sunburst, Honey Burst, and Tobacco Sunburst Perimeter are available color options. Les Paul Traditional 2018`s main features include a solid mahogany body, AAA-class flame maple top, slim taper-shaped mahogany neck, 22-fret fingerboard made of rosewood, two-piece hardtail bridge, Burstbucker pickups, and Grover tuners.
