Gibson Les Paul Special Humbucker Review
Les Paul Series Electric Guitar by 'Gibson'
Special is, along with Junior and Melody Maker, a budget-friendly tier within the Les Paul series. It usually features single-coil pickups, but this one is equipped with a pair of open-coil humbuckers. Controls unit is a standard one, it has two volumes, two tones and a three-way toggle pickup switch. Bridge section is also taken from the "bigger and older" siblings, it is made up of a tune-o-matic bridge in the front and a stoptail bar in the back. Both components are plated in chrome, as is the rest of the hardware. Body of Les Paul Special Humbucker is made of mahogany. It`s solid, flat on top and finished in gloss. Set in mahogany neck has '60s contour in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top.
