Les Paul Junior Single Coil Limited by Gibson
Satin Vintage Sunburst

Les Paul Junior was introduced way back in 1954, the third production year in Les Paul history. Its initial run lasted until 1963, when it was discontinued. Since 2001, it has been once more reinstated into the Gibson USA catalog. The main idea behind the Junior is to offer a flat-top Les Paul with one pickup (usual options include humbuckers and P-90 single coils) and minimalistic styling. Maximum tone and playability at minimum price. Les Paul Junior Single Coil Limited comes with a solid and flat (flat on top, contoured in the back) body made entirely of mahogany. There is, of course, no binding, no maple top, no pickguard. The neck is made of a single piece of mahogany, it features slim taper contour in the back and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. The fingerboard is a standard one, being almost identical to ones found on 2016 Traditional Specs models. Pickups section features not one, but two P-90S pickups, making it one of the rarest Juniors in existence. Controls unit is expanded and is now a three-piece made up of a master volume, master tone and a three-way toggle switch. Other premium features on this (not so) bare bones Junior include: two piece bridge unit, white-button tuning machines, tektoid string nut and one-piece fingerboard. A padded gig bag is also included into the $1,299 price tag. Being a limited run, this excellent Junior is primarily aimed at collectors and long-time fans of the Junior.
