Gibson USA`s 2017 catalog is divided into three main sections, Traditional, High Performance and S Series. Traditional is for players who like the feel and tone of classic Gibsons, while High Performance caters to players who want classic looks mixed with advanced technology. S models are the new opening series. Flying V 2017 T belongs to the Traditional series, the only V in the lineup. It costs $1,399 and roughly corresponds to the "Standard" tier. The new Traditional V kicks off with a solid and flat mahogany body, with a big white pickguard on top. Set-in mahogany neck (slim taper profile) with granadillo fingerboard on top completes the chassis of this modern/classic V. Main hardware and electronics features include a two-piece hardtail bridge, Dirty Fingers pickups (w/classic V controls) and Grover tuners.
