As Mr Les Paul intended it, Les Paul Custom was the top tier of the series and it`s models were the 'black tie' guitars. This started back in the 1950s and Customs are still the most luxurious and overall best LPs around. Since the 1950s Customs are still hugely popular, Gibson USA produces a vast number of replicas and reissue models. This one is the replica of the famous 1957 Les Paul Custom Black Beauty. It comes with a solid, single-cut body made of mahogany back and plain maple top. Creme binding, high gloss finish and plastic pickguard complete the body. Neck is made of mahogany and it features the standard '50s contour. On it`s top, there`s a 22-fret ebony fingerboard. Pair of Burstbuckers is featured on this model.
