2015 Les Paul Traditional is made for all those LP purists who can not let go of the legendary 1959. This is the only one, among eleven new models, without a weight relief. Solid and single-cut body is made of low density mahogany and an A+ grade flamed maple top. This combination has made Gibson`s Les Paul what it is today and 2015 Traditional pays homage to both the guitars of the yesteryear and the players who played them. Lack of the weight relief means the full, thick, big tone, but also painful shoulders and backs, for the LPs of the 1950s were rhinos among the electric guitars of the period. Standard tune-o-matic bridge with improved titanium saddles and the trusty stoptail bar comprise the bridge unit. 1959 tribute humbuckers are installed in the bridge and neck positions and feature the classic LP controls section (two volumes/two tones/three-way toggle switch) with thicker wires and an improved output jack. Mahogany neck is set in and equipped with the rounded XL contour in the back. Thick one-piece rosewood fingerboard on the top has 22 frets, 1.795" wide brass nut, trapezoid inlays and 12" radius. G Force tuners, Les Paul`s signature, as well as hologram are featured on the headstock. The MSRP for this magnificent ghost of the Les Pauls past is set at $2,879.
