Les Paul Junior has been the opening model of the Gibson USA LP range for decades and the new 2015 lineup kicks off with this feisty little beast. At first glance, LP Junior might not seem like much, especially if compared to the Standard, Studio, or even Special models. But, underneath the super simple appearance, there`s a mean rocking machine. Solid and flat body of the 2015 LP Junior is made of the high density mahogany and is paired with a one-piece mahogany neck, which guarantees bucket loads of strength and sustain. Improved wiring for 2015 (thicker cables) also adds to this. Simple wrap around bridge is the standard for this model. In it`s front, Gibson installs a dog ear P-90 pickup in the bridge position. There is no neck pickup, so the controls unit is made up of a master volume and a master tone knob. Mahogany neck is fit with the fast and sleek slim taper profile and a one-piece rosewood fingerboard on top. 22 frets, 1.79" brass nut, 12" radius and pearl dot inlays complete the fingerboard. Gibson`s G Force tuners are featured on the headstock. The MSRP is set at $899. This is the only LP in 2015 Gibson USA lineup with the price set under $1,000.
