1964 ES-345TD is a luxurious Thinline semi made for players who demand absolute best from their guitars, and are willing to pay the top dollar to get just what they want. some of the key points and specs list highlights are: PAF-styled MHS humbuckers, fantastic Varitone switch and worn hardware plating. 2015 lineup, in general, features maple/poplar bodies (with several notable exceptions) and mahogany necks. This combo, present on the 1964 Thinline 345, gives a good balance of warmth and brightness, and guarantees supreme sustain and clarity. As a standard model, this marvelous 345 comes in two color options - mesmerizing Historic Burst (a color scheme based on the actual 1960s sunburst) and classic Sixties Cherry (a faithful recreation of the iconic color scheme featured on semi and solid Gibson models of the sixties). Two-piece bridge unit is equipped with a no wire ABR bridge and a lightweight stopbar behind it. Pickups section rocks the mentioned MHS pickups, which deliver a jaw-dropping vintage PAF tone (MHS is, quite possibly, the pickup which nailed the original PAF tone with the highest level of fidelity and accuracy yet), and bring along the standard controls unit (plus the Varitone switch). One-piece mahogany neck features the traditional 1960s contour in the back and a 1960s truss rod on the inside. Top of the neck is reserved for the one-piece rosewood fingerboard with 22 frets, split parallelogram inlays and 1.7" wide nylon nut. Vintage Kluson tuners installed in the classic 3+3 arrangement round off the major specs list of 1964 ES-345TD. The list price for this model is set at staggering $4,499, but it`s, beyond the shadow of a doubt, worth every nickel and dime invested.
