True Historic 1957 Les Paul Goldtop by Gibson Custom
Vintage Antique Gold

As of 2015, Gibson Custom is employing the revolutionary new True Historic treatment. This includes hardware, electronics, plastics and wooden parts made and assembled in complete accordance with their original counterparts from the past. No details are omitted and no mistakes allowed, as the True Historic aims to become the flagship range of the Gibson Custom catalog. One of the first models to receive this treatment is the True Historic 1957 Les Paul Goldtop, a replica of the most popular solid-colored LP ever made. What the players get here is the most accurate 1957 Goldtop experience, surpassed only by the actual 1957 Goldtop. For starters, the one-piece mahogany body weighs seven pounds on average and also features the historically correct measurements. It comes in natural color with nitrocellulose finish. Classic two-piece maple top rocks the "dish" contour, classic creme binding and Vintage Antique Gold color scheme. White plastic pickguard, two-piece bridge unit with nickel plating and bumblebee pots are also there. Custom Buckers which were modeled after the iconic 1957 PAFs, deliver bucket loads of fat, smooth and resonant tone, and have the classic controls unit. One-piece mahogany neck rocks the `57 contour in the back, and a 22-fret Indian rosewood fingerboard on the top. Kluson Green Key reissue tuners complete the amazing list of specs and features. The MSRP for this six*string beauty is set at $6,899.
