Thinline design narrows the gap between the hollow bodied and solid bodied guitars, as it gives the tone of a hollow body and feel of a solid guitar. Modern technology and electronics take care of the feedback issues and compact dimensions allow solid body players to enjoy a jazz guitar. Johnny A signature is one such guitar, it is an exclusive model from Gibson Custom with a thinline hollow body. Body is made of mahogany back and sides with flamed maple back and sides. Top is bound in creme, carved with a pair of stylized "f" holes and finished in gloss. Tune-o-matic bridge and stoptail bar are fronted by a pair of '57 Classic humbuckers. Set mahogany neck is made of a single piece of wood and it`s topped with a 22-fret ebony fingerboard.
