Explorer is currently available through three brands, Gibson USA, Gibson Custom, and Epiphone. Each brand has a relatively small range of Explorers (2018 USA catalog has only one), with Epiphone models being the most affordable and Gibson Custom models the most expensive. The USA model is in between, though price-wise closer to Epiphone. Explorer Mahogany is a Limited Run model, as is every other Gibson Custom model in the current lineup. It starts at $4,899 and offers both the amazing aesthetics and magnificent tone. Four TV finishes are available - TV Black Gold, TV White, TV Yellow, and TV Black Silver. The key construction features include a solid mahogany body (no binding, black pickguard), solid mahogany neck (C-profile), solid rosewood fingerboard, two-piece hardtail bridge, Custom-wound Custombucker pickups, and Kluson single-band tuners.
