It stays in tune for weeks With 3 pickups in their position. The sound production is fantastic. after years of playing the finish almost mint, It very heavy hanging around your neck for hours. If there is any negatives that would have to be it. 5 Stars in every place.

I purchased a 1956 ES5 Switchmaster from the original owner in 1973 for $700. I played this guitar with regularity until 1979 when I purchased a Les Paul Recording model. I then sold the ES5 in 1993, along with the Les Paul. Big mistake!! Both were wonderful instruments.
