Gibson Custom EDS-1275

SG Electric Guitars by Gibson Custom

EDS-1275 by Gibson Custom
White Lacquer

Rewinding some five and a half decades back, Gibson was on the front of the second wave of the flat-top electric guitars with the trio that still rocks the world in the 21st century, EDS-1275, Explorer and Flying V. The most popular one at the time was the EDS-1275, for the V and Explorer looked far too futuristic and bold. Some 20 years later, they have become the icons of the emerging heavy metal scene, while the EDS-1275 got it`s due recognition after Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin adopted it as one of his main stage guitars in the late 1960s. Today, Gibson Custom pays a tribute to the legendary double-neck which started the world-wide craze. This is the new EDS-1275 Limited 120th Anniversary model. It comes with a solid mahogany body and set in mahogany necks. The upper neck is fit with a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard and has twelve strings. Two active humbuckers and a classic two-piece bridge are featured on the upper side, as well. On the bottom, there`s the classic SG six-stringer with a set in mahogany neck, rounded neck, two active humbucking pickups, 20-fret rosewood fingerboard and a tune-o-matic bridge with the stoptail bar in the back. Gold-plated hardware, vintage tuners and 24-3/4" scale on both necks complete the major specs list. The MSRP for this limited edition beauty is set at whooping $3,999.
