CS9 50s Style Les Paul Standard VOS is a 2015 take on the timeless 1959 LP Standard. A guitar that`s been reissued, replicated and remade countless times is still the most requested and most sought after guitar in the world. Owned by blessed few and desired by so many, 1959 LP exists in a realm of its own. CS9 is, thus far, the closest thing to revisiting the 1959, walking into a guitar shop and picking one of the LPs off the wall. This six-string beauty kicks off with a solid, one-piece body made of mahogany. Back in the day, Gibson luthiers made the LPs with completely solid tonewoods, no weight relief, no chambers, only solid wood through and through. On top, there was, as is now, a two-piece cap made of flamed maple (Gibson Custom builds the CS9 with high quality bookmatched maple). Back and sides are lacquered and retain their natural color, while the creme-bound top is available in six color options: Washed Cherry, Faded Tobacco, Ice Tea, Lemon Burst, Sunrise Tea Burst and Bourbon Burst. Custom Bucker pickups bring all the tone the 1959 pups were loved for, they bring the lion`s roar, as well as the kitten`s purr, and all the shades of blues and rock in between. They`re equipped with a classic LP controls unit. One-piece mahogany neck is also a traditional feature, and it`s topped with a 22-fret fingerboard made of Indian rosewood. Ressue Kluson deluxe Green Key tuners are found on the vintage headstock, installed in the traditional 3+3 arrangement. The MSRP for this out-of-this-world 1959 replica is set at $6,199.
