Collector`s Choice is one of the most exclusive lines of electric guitars in history. Each and every model is carefully selected among many legendary Les Pauls and then made in super small batches, to ensure the ultimate exclusivity to their owners. These models are considered the closest thing to the original by many collectors and guitar experts. 2015 Catalog updates reveal two new entries - Collector`s Choice #5 Tom Wittrock 1959 Les Paul "Donna" and Collector`s Choice #24 Charles Daughtry 1959 Les Paul "Nicky" models. "Nicky" comes clad in a gorgeous Sunburst color scheme, resembling the modern Lemon Burst. It is hand-aged and wet-sanded, with a thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish. It is feautred on the top, while the rest of the body ad the back of the neck come in dark brown color. top is bound in the classic creme binding, and features a plastic white pickguard on the top. Marvelous Custom Buckers fill both the bridge and neck positions of the pickups compartment, bringing the true PAF tone to the table. Along with them,Gibson Custom installs the standard LP (and the standard Gibson, for that matter) controls unit. One-piece mahogany neck is fit with a `59 profile in the back, and a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard on top. the fingerboard features trapezoid inlays, creme binding and 1-11/16" wide nylon nut. The MSRP is set at $10,499.
