1965 Firebird V is a model from Gibson Custom`s Firebird series and it comes with a solid, classic body. One of the most interesting features on this model is it`s bridge section. Usually, Gibsons feature tune-o-matic bridge with stoptail bar, but on some of the earlier models Gibson experimented with tremolo bridges, thus the Maestro tailpiece on this one. Body is made of mahogany wings with the extended neck comprising the center of the body. There is no binding, nor top wood cover. 1965 Firebird is only available in blue with high gloss finish. Pickups on this one are minibuckers and they`re controlled through separate volume and tone knobs. Mahogany neck is equipped with ES contour and it is topped with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.
