Vintage Les Pauls are one of the strongest and largest segments on the electric guitar market, in it`s upper section. Both Gibson USA and Gibson Custom spend much effort to provide for players who want age accurate replicas of the Les Pauls from 1950s and '60s. The most special places are reserved for late 1950s LPs, especially 1959 models. To honor them, Gibson Custom has decided to issue a special limited run of 1959 Les Paul Factory Burst. It will be made in Dark Burst and Cherry Burst options, both finished in nitrocellulose lacquer and available in 100 copies, each. These quantities ensure utmost exclusivity. Factory burst kicks off with a classic body setup of mahogany back with figured maple top. Top i bound in creme and has a shallower carve than standard, to match with 1959 originals. Nitrocellulose lacquer finish is applied over both bursts. Bridge is tune-o-matic with stoptail bar in the back. Both are plated in nickel. Pickups department contents depend on the color option chosen. Dark Burst has a pair of Custom Bucker pickups, while the Cherry Burst has '57 Classic Zebra-Coil humbuckers. Split volume and tone knobs are accompanied by a three-way toggle switch. Mahogany neck is equipped with maple spline and '59 contour. It is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. 22 frets, trapezoid inlays and 1.687" wide nylon nut are featured on the fingerboard. The MSRP for this model is set at $9,174.
