Framus Vintage series is being revitalized in East Asia, in China to be exact. This series deals with recreations and replicas of models Framus used to make back some 40, 50 years. The series is in expansion, both in popularity and models it features. For the upcoming 2013 NAMM Show Framus introduces a brand new model into it, named Framus Vintage 5/168 Golden Strato De Luxe. It is a distinguished and utterly elegant double-cut guitar with more resemblance to the Jazzmaster, than to Strat. However, it has a flat top and has no binding around the edges. It is made entirely of mahogany, which ensures a full, rich tone with a lot of sustain. There`s a large pickguard made up of three parts installed on the top of the body. Bridge section is a very interesting one, as it features a tune-o-matic bridge sinked into the body and a tremolo bar installed upon it. Pickups are Framus single coils with passive electronics. Neck on this six-stringer is made of maple and it features a bolt-on joint. It is topped with a 21-fret rosewood fingerboard. Dot inlays decorate the medium jumbo frets.
