Vortex is one of two lines in Fernandes Guitars catalog dedicated to the lovers of the iconic V. Vortex is a modern-looking guitar, but when compared to the V-Hawk`s futuristic design, it takes on the role of the traditional V guitar. Edges are beveled and tail fins are bit more extremely designed, than on the classic Gibson Flying V. Body and construction of the Vortex Deluxe corresponds with the majority of Deluxe-level models Fernandes makes. Body is made of mahogany and it is topped with a standard two-piece bridge unit. In the front of the bridge, Fernandes installs the classic EMG 81/85 combo of active humbucking pickups. Neck on this model is set in and made of mahogany. It has a 22-fret ebony fingerboard on it`s top.
