Fernandes V Hawk Elite JP Review

When it comes to metal axes, Fernandes offers some of the best. Their catalog contains a vast range of hot guitars and basses. At 2012 NAMM Show Fernandes introduced brand new class of Elite JP models, which span across several series. Models like Vortex, Ravelle, Revolver and many others received their Elite JP flagship models. Finally, Fernandes unveils V Hawk Elite JP. It comes with a standard V Hawk shape and it`s made of mahogany body with a set-thru mahogany neck. The body features beveled edges, with no binding, top woods or pickguards. Color selection for this model comes down to two very intricate options: chameleon purple and chameleon green, both with gloss finishes and the ability to change depending on the angle someone looks at the guitar. The bridge is a Gotoh licensed Floyd Rose tremolo with a locking nut and black plating. Pickup combo on this axe consists of EMG81 in the bridge and Fernandes Sustainer in the neck position. They are controlled through master volume, master tone, Sustainer on/off mini switch and a three-way toggle pickup switch. The set-thru neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard. It features 24 jumbo frets, 1-5/8" wide string nut, 14" radius and offset abalone dot inlays. Other features on V Hawk Elite JP include 25-1/2" scale and Gotoh die-cast tuners.
