Ravelle is one of the most intriguing shapes in Fernandes production, as well as one of the most important series of metal-oriented guitars. By it`s design and technical features, single cutaway, 24-3/4" scale, 22 fret fingerboard, it is clear that Ravelle is heavily inspired by Gibson`s Les Paul. Now, the Ravelle series gets Elite JP treatment for 2012. Ravelle Elite JP starts off with a solid, single cutaway body made of mahogany back and quilted maple top. It`s carved top is bound in white and features no pickguards. Color options are see-thru black, black cherry and cherry sunburst, all finished in gloss. The bridge compartment is reserved for a chrome plated Gotoh tune-o-matic bridge with a stoptail bar. In the pickup section, Seymour Duncan SH-4JB humbucker occupies bridge position and the Fernandes Sustainiac sits in the neck. Controls setup consists of master volume, master tone, three-way toggle pickup switch, Sustainer on/off mini switch and Sustainer mode mini switch. The neck is, as on all Elite JP models, made of mahogany and attached to the body with a set-in joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and equipped with 22 jumbo frets and pearl trapezoid position inlays. Other features include: 14" fingerboard radius, Gotoh magnum locking tuners and KTS titanium neck reinforcement rods.
