For 2012 Fernandes steps up the game with Elite JP class of models. These guitars are made in Japan and bring what is currently the top of Fernandes standard lines. These models outperform Elite models and come as flagships in their respective series. Dragonfly lines also got JP treatment and Dragonfly Elite JP is a sight for sore eyes. It comes with a solid, double cutaway mahogany body with a carved quilt maple top. To further accentuate the beauty of the quilted maple, Fernandes opted only for see-thru colors, thus the see-thru black, see-thru black cherry and see-thru blue color lineup. The bridge is made by Gotoh and consists of a tune-o-matic with a stoptail bar. They are both chrome plated. Pickup combo on this Elite JP is made up of Seymour Duncan SH-4JB in the bridge and Fernandes made Sustainer humbucker in the neck position. controls department features master volume, master tone, three-way toggle switch, Sustainer on/off switch and a Sustainer mode switch. The neck is made of mahogany with a set-in joint. The fingerboard is made of rosewood and features 24 jumbo frets with dot position inlays, 14: radius and a Graphtech string nut. Other features include: 24-3/4" scale, Gotoh Magnum locking tuning machines and KTS titanium reinforcement rods in the neck.
