Standard series is there to deliver your "meat and potatoes" Fender tone and quality. the classic tone, familiar design, quality materials and the utterly reliable construction are the words to best describe this series. It`s not extravagant, it`s not luxurious, it`s not experimental, it delivers what`s needed and wanted, and delivers it in spades. Standard series is mainly oriented to addressing the needs of modern players who like the classic Fender styling, but want a modern axe in their hands. 2015 lineup is being updated with some very desirable six-stringers and the Standard Jazzmaster HH is one of them. It comes with a regular offset Jazzmaster body made of alder and a C-contoured neck made of maple. These two are connected via the bolt-on joint, Fender`s favorite type of construction ever since the very first incarnation of the mythic Esquire model. Two-piece bridge unit features a six-saddled Adjust-o-Matic bridge with a floating tremolo tailpiece in the back. Two zebra-coiled Blacktop humbuckers deliver a strong, high gain tone calibrated for hot and heavy rocking. But, when the push/pull switch is engaged, the sweet chiming single-coil tone shows the sensitive side of these robust humbuckers. Maple neck rocks the modern C profile which is, actually, pretty fast and smooth (modern C is considerably thinner than the traditional C, plus it features satin finish in the back) and on par with modern fast necks. On the top, it features a rosewood fingerboard with only 21 frets (which might, actually, be the only serious drawback of the otherwise stellar specs list). Fender`s own sealed tuners on the headstock seal off the specs list.
