Fender Pawn Shop Jaguarillo Review

Pawn Shop Series from Fender bring a strong vibe and familiar models in a brand new and fresh package. The concept of the Pawn Shop line is taken from some of the most audacious creations from mid '60s to mid '70s and it`s motto is "Guitars that never were, but should have been". Truly amazing and original, these models are made to rock the world of today with their uncompromising sound and looks. Pawn Shop Jaguarillo is one of the updates for 2012 edition of Pawn Shop series. It comes with a redesigned electronics department. Pickups are placed in H/S/S configuration, and all three are slanted for improved sonic response. Bridge humbucker is especially hot. Master volume and master tone controls on this model are accompanied by a classic five-way blade switch. The body on this model is flat, unbound and free of top wood covers. It is made of alder and it`s covered with a vintage-styled pickguard which also serves as an electronics shield. Jaguarillo features an adjust-o-matic bridge in combination with a vintage-styled floating tremolo. This perennial bridge, as well as the tuners, is plated in chrome. Neck on this model is a standard Fender feature, it is made of a single piece of maple and it sports a C contour. Furthermore, it is bolted to the body and finished in urethane gloss. This neck is covered with a rosewood fingerboard. It is equipped with a set of 22 medium jumbo frets, which is another one of Fender`s standard appointments. Dot position inlays are also there, and 9.50" fingerboard radius, as well. Synthetic bone nut measures 1.65" in width. Scale on this Jaguarillo is a standard Jaguar feature, and it is 24 inches long. This model is available in three color options: Candy Apple Red, Sonic Blue and 3-Color Sunburst, and they all have the same MSRP. It is set at $1,079.
