Offset series is there for young players who want a modern tone and playability, packed into a classic-looking Fender. There are five of them at the moment, and Mustang is one of two models with dual single-coil pickups. Like the other three six-stringer, Offset Mustang comes in with a short 24" scale, flat-top offset body with a big pickguard and Fender electronics and hardware. The color palette contains three options - Olive, Black and Olympic White, all three finished in polyester gloss and completed with chrome-plated hardware. Thus far Fender has not specified the suggested retail price.
Mustang kicks off with a flat-top alder body and bolt-on maple neck, which is Fender`s default combination (in both the guitar and bass departments). The neck is topped with a 22-fret fingerboard (maple fingerboard, medium jumbo frets, black dot inlays, 9.5" radius, 1.65" synthetic bone nut). Pickups section features a pair of slanted Mustang single-coil pickups (one in the bridge, the other in neck position) One volume, one tone and a three-way switch comprise the controls. Other major features of this beautiful Mustang include die-cast Fender tuners, hardtail string-through bridge and black plastics.
