Limited Edition American Standard Blackout Stratocaster represents the modern side of the 10 for `15 series. It comes with a modern Strat body made of alder and a bolt-on maple neck with the modern C profile in the back. Blackout Stratocaster features black paint on the body and the plastic parts, including pickups covers, knobs and the pickguard. To top it all off, Fender has opted for an ebony fingerboard, instead of the rosewood. A feat seldom seen in the catalog. The alder body of this black-clad Strat is topped with the standard two-point synchronized tremolo bridge, and a set of Custom Shop Fat `50s Single-Coil Strat pickups. Standard controls unit is installed along with them. The ebony fingerboard features 22 medium jumbo-sized frets, dot inlays and 1.685" wide synthetic bone nut.
