When it comes to historical significance and defining features, a handful of guitars can compete with '60s Stratocaster. To honor this legend, Fender Custom Shop made and released limited edition of 1969 Relic Stratocaster filled with all the essentials of it`s predecessors. This model comes with a classic '60s double cutaway Stratocaster contour with bolted neck joint. Olympic white color scheme is finished in nitrocellulose lacquer finish and complemented with aged hardware. 25-1/2" scale and set of Fender tuners on an inverted headstock are also featured on this model. Body is made of selected pieces of alder with no top wood panels. Also, there is no binding around the top. Bridge section on this Strat is made up of a vintage styled synchronized tremolo bridge. It features string-through construction. Pickups department is equipped with hand-wound custom '69 Stratocaster single coil pickups in all three positions. Of course, the bridge pickup is slanted. Controls unit is a classic one and it is comprised of master volume and two tone knobs. Pickup switching is done through a five-position blade switch. Neck is made of maple and it sports a vintage '60s U shape with nitrocellulose lacquer contour in the back. Maple fingerboard features 21 medium jumbo frets, 9.50" radius and 1.65" wide string nut. The MSRP for Limited Edition 1969 Relic Stratocaster is set at $6,600.00
