Fender`s brand new Duo Sonic series is here to change the face of popular music forever. Whether it succeeds or not, remains to be seen, but the youthful spirit, super cool design and looks, and great tone are all there. There are five models in the current lineup, four six-stringers and one short-scale base. The guitars are also short-scalers, coming in with the classic Mustang 24" scales. Add vibrant solid colors, classic/modern pickups and fantastic playability and you`ve got yourself a pretty versatile little rocker. There`s also a wide selection of pickups as regular singles, soapbars and even humbuckers are in the game. Duo Sonic HS is Duo Sonic`s twin, with only two major differences - pickups combo and fingerboard material. Other than that, these two are one and the same guitar. Of course, Fender saw to it that color palettes stay separated. The body of this feisty Duo Sonic is made of alder, while the neck is made of maple. The standard C profile and four-bolt joint are also there. 22-fret rosewood fingerboard comes in with medium jumbo frets and 1.65" synthetic bone nut. Uncovered Duo Sonic humbucker in the bridge and covered single in the neck make up for an interesting combo, packed with a huge range of styles and tones. String-through hardtail bridge and die-cast Fender tuners complete this all-rounder.
