Fender Blacktop Stratocaster HSH Review

Fender Blacktop is a fairly new line of models oriented towards the young players and their needs and expectations what a desirable modern electric guitar should be. Almost every model in Fender production got it`s own Blacktop version. This Strat is made in HSH pickup configuration and equipped with Blacktop series appointments. It starts off with a solid, double cutaway body made of alder. This flat-top model is available in black and titanium silver options with polyester gloss finish. The top features no bindinng. The bridge is a vintage styled synchronized tremolo with string-through-body construction and standard chrome plating. The pickup combo is laid out in a humbucker-single-humbucker pattern and it marks this model as a Blacktop Stratocaster HSH. These Fender-made Blacktop series pickups are controlled through master volume, two tone pots and a five position blade pickup switch. The neck is made of maple and features a c contour and bolt-on joint. the rosewood fingerboard is equipped with 22 medium jumbo frets and dot inlays. the fingerboard radius is 9.50", synthetic bone nut is 1.65" wide and the scale measures 25-1/2" in length. The MSRP for Blacktop Stratocaster HSH is set at $739. This model will be exhibited at the Fender presentation at NAMM 2012.
